Thank you for your interest in my study on Meditation for Autism.

I’m exploring how meditation can help autistic adults navigate challenges, and how it can strengthen the unique strengths and traits that come with being on the autism spectrum.

I will be using the findings from this study to share in talks, presentations, and written materials, and to apply for further funding so I can grow this work and make it more accessible.

No participants will ever be named or personally identified in any of these uses.

Who Can Join

To take part in this informal, preliminary study, you need to:

  • Be over the age of 18 or have parental/legal guardian consent to participate.
  • Understand that this is an informal study I’m running to build understanding; it’s not a substitute for medical advice or treatment.
  • Be formally diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or be in the process of getting professionally diagnosed.
I deeply respect and acknowledge self-diagnosis, but for funding and research purposes, I need to work with people who have a formal diagnosis at this stage.

Safety & Suitability

I’ve done everything I can to make sure this study is safe and supportive.
That said:

  • Some of the practices may challenge how you currently think and view the world.
  • Autism traits vary so much from person to person, so I can’t guarantee every technique will work for everyone.

Here’s How the Study Works

Step 1: Self-Assessment
We’ll start with a self-assessment so I can understand your traits, strengths, and current life experience.

Step 2: Personalised Meditation Plan
Based on your self-assessment, I’ll send you one or more of three guided meditation lessons designed for autistic individuals:

  • Level 1: Breathing & grounding
  • Level 2: Self-Identification & authenticity
  • Level 3: Self-Transcendence & connection

Step 3: Weekly Practice
I’ll ask you to practice these meditations daily for at least one week to integrate the techniques.

Step 4: Re-Assessment
We’ll repeat the self-assessment to see what’s changed for you.

Step 5: Continuing Support (Optional) - TBD
If you’d like, you can continue with additional meditation lessons in the program or join a group session to discuss your experiences.

Your participation and data will stay confidential.
I will use the findings in talks, presentations, and funding applications, but no personal names or identifying details will ever be included.
